I asked ChatGPT to write an introductory paragraph for this series. This is what he wrote:

Why should anyone care?
Because if these distances are much farther than we are told, it indicates an important truth is being hidden from us.
If we are on a globe, it means the southern and northern hemispheres should have, relatively equidistant flight times between locations of relatively similar distances.

When I first asked about the flight time, and I'd encourage anyone to google these things themselves, flight times will be listed as 20-25 hours. ALL flights will have multiple layovers because no direct flights exist.
Independently, a search of the distance between these locations will find the distance calculation according to the globe model.
Here's why these problems exist and why ChatGPT is so confused and just gave up trying to explain.

Relatively, they are much farther than this globe map would suggest, and explains why he came up with all these odd ball answers and couldn't figure out what was correct. In the end, recognize, he said, "I was originally confused and the flight options with layovers are not as direct as I thought." This is rosy wording, he meant, they are farther than he originally thought.
